Livi Machinery has provided a custom poultry house design for a farm owner in Zambia, aimed at housing 20,000 laying hens. The solution includes the use of our high-quality A-type layer battery cage systems.

Poultry House Design:

• The chicken house measures 90m x 13m x 2.5m.
• It will house 20,000 laying hens with the help of A-type layer cages.

Cage Specifications:

• Each A-type layer battery cage has dimensions of 195cm x 45cm x 41cm and can accommodate 160 hens.
• A total of 126 sets of chicken cage units are required, with a configuration of 3 rows, 42 sets of layer cages per row.
• These battery cages for layers can house up to 20,160 hens, exceeding the farm’s goal.

Manure Removal System:

• To maintain cleanliness and reduce labor, Livi Machinery recommended a scraper manure cleaning system.
• The scraper system can clean all three rows of cages simultaneously with just one motor.
• The manure channel is designed for efficient waste collection, with a depth of 30-35 cm at the front and 35-40 cm at the back.

This poultry house design ensures optimal space utilization, high production capacity, and easy maintenance for the Zambian poultry farm.
